Elizabeth II, Queen of the United Kingdom and 14 Commonwealth realms, has died.

Queen Elizabeth Alexandra Mary Windsor has been pronounced dead after 70 years 7 months and 2 days on the throne. She was the longest-serving monarch in history.

Her death was announced by Buckingham Palace, which said that she passed away peacefully.
